I needed a way to retrieve my pet bird Buzz, who is a pineapple green cheek Conure, from the high places that he would land in our home. So, I developed the PerchPal, a portable pet bird retriever, and began using it many times each day to retrieve and transport Buzz to his cage or play stand. It is now available to any bird lover at your local pet store. (Your store can purchase the PerchPal through my distributor, Wyld's Wingdom. Their contact info. is at the bottom of this page.) The PerchPal extends from 24" to 56" allowing most people to reach a 10-foot height safely without climbing on furniture or counters. The PerchPal includes an attached cup where you can place your bird's favorite treat to encourage them to step onto the cotton rope perch that can hold more than three pounds. With minimal training your bird will feel safe and confident on the PerchPal and you will be able to safely retrieve and interact with your avian friend.
